Every listing carries the maker's own age range, and we say when we think it runs young or old. Treat the number as a floor: it is mostly about small parts, not ability.

By hand, mostly. A good piece feels solid, the edges are clean, nothing rattles that should not, and the print or paint does not lift under a fingernail. Cheap copies flex where they should not and smell strongly of plastic. Look at the material, the joins, and who actually made it.

Anything motorised or electronic carries the maker's warranty, passed on with your order. Simple toys carry none, but a manufacturing fault is ours to put right regardless.
